We want to get people out of their houses and into the woods actively engaging with our natural world. The forest provides a stunning location for gathering at particular times of the year to feast, to learn, to share skills and knowledge and to celebrate together.

Other Celebrations

Do you want to tune into a different rhythm following the rhythm of the natural world? Are you looking for a place where you, and your friends and family, can come together to relax, play, explore, feast and create? Our themed events that run over the course of the seasons and balance of light. These include:

Spring Equinox

The Spring Equinox occurs when the sun passes the equator moving from the southern to the northern hemisphere. Day and night have approximately the same length. Usually around 20 March we celebrate the arrival of Spring with food, seeds, blossoms and chocolate eggs.

Summer Solstice

The Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year. We are awake, energised and feel alive. We want to be outside, active, moving and celebrating. We bathe in the sun, reflect on our achievements, share folklore tales around the fire and feast on strawberries.

Autumn Equinox

The Autumn Equinox is the first day of the autumn season and day and night have approximately the same length. Usually around 22 September we celebrate the arrival of Autumn through harvest, candles, gratitude and sharing soup.

Yuletide

Yule is the period around the shortest day of the year, December 21, with long dark nights ahead before the light returns. We celebrate, together, by searching for life in evergreens for wreaths, kissing boughs and the creation of gifts.
