We try to keep our terms and conditions fair and straightforward. We hope you will agree that what we set out here provides a framework explaining what you can expect from us and what we, in return, expect from you.

Payment for sessions

Please book into sessions before attending using our online ticketing system. Invoices can then be arranged through this system for BACS transfer.

Cancellation by us

Our sessions continue in all weathers, excepting those considered to pose an adverse risk, such as high winds. In such an event the session will be rearranged.

If the session leader has to cancel due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances the session will be rearranged.

Cancellation by you

Cancellation made by you for a forest school programme with expectation of a refund must be made at least 10 days before the start of the session. Cancellation within 10 and 5 days of a forest school programme beginning will receive a 50% refund. Cancellation made up to 4 days before a programme will not be refunded.

Where you cannot attend a single session within a programme, e.g. in the case of ill health or other exceptional circumstances please talk to us as missed sessions may be carried over to another programme.

Refunds are not available if you pay to join a drop-in event and do not join on the day.

Safeguarding

Our safeguarding policies for clients and staff are available to read on request. If you have any questions relating to safeguarding in relation to a child or vulnerable adult then please contact us. We provide confidentiality in relation to information shared with us by  service-users, except in circumstances where disclosure makes it a legal obligation to share information with appropriate professionals.

Feedback and concerns

We welcome feedback from all participants and carers/parents in relation to their experience at any of our sessions and recognise that without meaningful dialogue we cannot continually learn and develop as individuals, and an organisation. We will always listen without judgement to your thoughts, concerns, suggestions and ideas. You can approach us verbally, in person, by telephone, or in writing by email. Please see our Contact page for more options.

Illness and infectious diseases

It is Greenwood Growth’s policy to keep people safe when they are in our care, to promote good health and take necessary steps to prevent the spread of infection within our groups.

If anyone becomes unwell whilst in our care we will phone the main contact to arrange going home and welcome back children when they are well.

Please do not join us in the woods if you are unwell.
